deiform: adj
1. Having the form of a god; godlike in form.
2. Conformable to the character or nature of God; godlike, divine, holy.

You know it's a good workday when the OED comes into play.

And I really, really want to use this word in my book, because its definition could not possibly be more germane. Except it's esoteric verging on obsolete (the OED's most recent citation is from 1874), and there's absolutely no way to make it fit in with the voice and general tone of the novel.

Curse you, unusable but excellent word!
